How do artists create a feeling of near and far in their work? They use a horizon line, make things big and small to feel close and far away and they overlap.

Students applied what they learned by creating these artworks that show things from the perspective of someone or something looking out a window. I loved how creative students got like how some decided to use a blind instead of a curtain.

The big idea behind this project is that "Art shows us what people, places, animals and objects have looked like." Second grade students used their knowledge of line, shape, color, and pattern in order to create drawings of fish and other under the sea creatures. They colored their animal with warm colors and the background in cool colors.
